Jane Austen

Jane Austen is one of the greatest writers of English Literature.
Born December 16, 1775. Here father was a clergyman. 7th of 8 children. Had a romance with a young clergyman who died before a marriage proposal.
She in 41 years of quiet life wrote surprising books. Published 4 books anonymously . Wrote six. Unmarried, with enough money, single. She was free. Aparently her books are all about love; not so, there are more under surface. Troubles, deals, how money affects people and relations...All with a happy ending.

It includes the following quote from one of Jane Austen’s books, “Pride and Prejudice”:
“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading!”

That line is not as simple as it seems. In the novel, it is spoken by Miss Caroline Bingley, Bennet’s rival for the wealthy Mr. Darcy. Carol Bingley just’s pretending to be a book lover to catch Darcy’s attention.
