Non-Pr­odu­ctive Cough

Mechanism Of Action - Opiod & Non-Opiod

Opiod: Act on the CNS (medulla) in the cough center to suppress cough. This drug also dries the mucosa of the respir­atory tract which reduces symptoms of runny nose and postnasal drip. Opiods also provide analgesic effects.
Non-Opiod: Acts the same way as an opiod sans CNS depression and analgesic effects.
