Mechanism Of Action - Opiod & Non-Opiod
Opiod: Act on the CNS (medulla) in the cough center to suppress cough. This drug also dries the mucosa of the respiratory tract which reduces symptoms of runny nose and postnasal drip. Opiods also provide analgesic effects. |
Non-Opiod: Acts the same way as an opiod sans CNS depression and analgesic effects. |
