Simple Past

Used to talk about something that started in the past and finished in the past.
Used to describe a sequence of events in past.
We use time expres­sions to talk about the date or time when the action happened.

Past Continuos

To speak about an activity that happened at a specific time.

To indicate that an action in the past was interr­upted. you use also past simple in the same sentence.

Past Continuos and Past Simple

Past Perfect Tense

To talk actions completed before other events in the past.
It is just used when talking about two actions.
