Content validity

Does the test measure the conscruct like it was intended to?

Face validity

Does the test give the impression it is valid?

Criterion validity

Can the test correctly estimate results?
Criterion
Every result against which a test can be validated. The result is a validity coeffi­cient.
Concurrent validity
In concurrent validity criterion measur­ements are obtained simult­ani­ously as the gaining of test scores.
Predictive validity
The criterion measur­ements are obtained in the future.
Example: grade as a result of an entrance exam.
Validity coeffi­cient
Rxy = √((Rxx­)(Ryy))
The validity coeffi­cient is always more than or equal to the square root of test validity multiplied with criterion validity.
