MECHANISM OF ACTION

Blocks conversion of Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in the lungs
Remember Angiotensin II is responsible for constricting arteries and veins by binding to Angiotensin I receptors, thus blocking will lead to dilation of the veins and arterie;
improves blood flow and decreases blood volume
Reduces preload and afterload
