Intro

The indian goverment works at national level, the state or regional level and the local level.
In india the central government rules the country at the national level, the state goverment rules at state level, and the panchayati raj takes care of the goverment at the local level.

Panchayati raj

the panchayati raj is a system of local goverment that takes care of requir­ements of the rural population and the implements policies meant for them.
Local self goverment is a system where the problems of a local community are managed by people belonging to that comminity.
And the one who belongs to the community or manages it is panchayati raj.the panchayati raj is a system of local goverment that takes care of requir­ements of the rural population and the implements policies meant for them.
so this means that the panchayati raj takes care of these local problems of rural population (popul­ation of that area) and implements ( takes ) policies meant for them.
The pancha­yatai raj is a three-­tiered system of local admini­str­ation based on the concept of pancha­yat.-so panchayati is a three tiered ( it has 3 levels) of local admini­str­ation based on or inspired on the concept of panchayat
 

Panchayat

Panchayat literally means a group of five people, who has been part of our village life for several years. this system went to decline when the british started ruling india. it was then revived back by the indian goverment after indepe­ndence.
