Structure of Teeth
Location:
A tooth is divided up into three regions: crown, neck and root. These three regions combined illustrate different parts of anatomy.
These teeth are classified used FDI notation
Enamel
When identi­fying a tooth the tooth is broken up into four quadrants
Dentine
Quadrant one: top right - right maxillary permeant
Pulp Chamber
Quadrant two: top left - left maxillary permeant
Cementum
Quadrant three: bottom left - left mandible permeant
Period­ontium: cementum, period­ontal ligament, alveolar bone, and gingiva
Quadrant four: bottom right - right mandible permeant
