Direct & Indirect Sympathomimetics
Some adrenergics are indirect acting, where they stimulate the catacholamines of our own (hormones/ chemicals) to activate the SNS)
Direct acting bind directly with receptor (such as nor-epinephrine)
Vasoconstriction, increase peripheral resistance, increase BP, increase closure of internal sphincter of bladder, mydriasis (pupil dilation)
