Accoun­tab­ility
Organi­zations must take respon­sib­ility for data handling and appoint DPOs.
Consent
Obtain valid, informed consent before data collec­tion, use, or disclo­sure.
Purpose limitation
Use data only for legitimate and reasonable purposes notified to indivi­duals.
Notifi­cation accuracy
Inform indivi­duals of collec­tion, use, and disclosure reasons. Ensure data is complete and correct when used for decisions or disclo­sure.
Protection
Implement security to prevent unauth­orized access or misuse.
Retention Limitation Transfer Limitation
Keep data only as long as necessary for business or legal use. Ensure comparable protection when transf­erring data overseas.
Access and Correction Data Breach Notifi­cation
Indivi­duals may access and correct their personal data. Notify PDPC and affected parties in cases of signif­icant harm or large-­scale breaches.
