Essential commands needed to install DS software.

This is a draft cheat sheet. It is a work in progress and is not finished yet.

Basic Commands

bash --version
OS version check
lscpu
System inform­ation
clear
Clear terminal
su root
Go into root (password needed)
exit
Exit root
script filena­me.txt
Add as first command in terminal if
you want to save everything typed as a txt file

Browse documents and unzip files

cd (name of folder)
Go into a folder
cd
Up one folder
ls
List files in current folder
tar -xf archiv­e.tar
Extract all files from archiv­e.tar
tar -xf archiv­e.tgz
Extract all files from archiv­e.tgz
