Pluralism
Pluralism is a political philosophy which holds that people of different beliefs, backgr­ounds,
and lifestyles can coexist in the same society and partic­ipate equally in the political process Longley, 2020

Cultural Pluralism describes a condition in which minority groups partic­ipate fully in all areas
of the dominant society, while mainta­ining their unique cultural identi­ties.

Three Fundam­ental Beliefs
1. Maintain different Cultures
2. Individuls have the right to partic­ipate in all aspects of society
3. Each culture should be respected
  

Modern Definition of Pluralism

 
A truly plural society would be one in which citizens have full freedom to pursue their different values or practices in private, while in the public sphere all citizens would be treated as political equals whatever their private beliefs.
