Hazard Ratios

 
In its simplest form, the Hazard Ratio (HR) can be interp­reted as the chance of an event occurring in the treatment arm divided by the chance of the event occurring in the control arm.

Hazard Rate

Hazard rate h(t): It tells you the instan­taneous rate of failure at a certain time, given that the subject has survived up to that time.
