Attach Tabs:

Chest Leads:
V1 + V2
4th Intercostal Space
Right (V1) + Left (V2)
V4
5th Interc­ostal Space
Mid-cl­avi­cular line
V3
Half-way between V2 + V4
V5 + V6
V4 Horizontal Plane
Anterior (V5) + Mid-Au­xillary (V6) Line
Limb Leads:
RA + LA
Proximal to Wrist
Palmar Side (Ventral Aspect)
RL + LL
Proximal to Ankle
Antero­-la­teral Aspect
All tabs should face down except for legs which should face upwards

Attaching Cables:

Place the box attached to electrodes between the patient's legs

Sort and tidy Limb + Chest leads
Chest Leads:
Connect V1-V6
Limb Leads:
Connect RA→LA→LL→RL

Red→Yellow→Green→Black
Check all leads are connected and displayed on screen
Cover Patient

Recording ECG:

Enter Patient Details + Check Against Wristband
Ask patient to remian still
Record ECG

Tidy-up:

Disconnect electrodes + place neatly on machine
Remove all tabs
Sit patient up and help them dress
Thank patient and reverse WIPPE
